Burton’s Child Development Center has been designated a Quality Counts Pilot Program by the Early Learning Coalition in conjunction with the Early Learning Initiative Foundation. Only five preschools in Monroe County have been chosen for the Quality Counts ranking.

The Burton Memorial CDC has been Gold Seal accredited by the United Methodist Association of Preschools (UMAP) since 2008, and was the first Florida Keys preschool accredited with a Gold Seal by UMAP in Monroe County.

The Burton Memorial CDC is licensed for operation as a Child Care Facility by the State of Florida (license #C11 MO 0018), which also manages the federal Gold Seal accreditation program for child care and preschool facilities.

The Burton CDC is accredited by the Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring availability of early care and education for children. Founded in 2000, the Coalition is among 31 similar organizations in the State of Florida established following the enactment of the School Readiness Act, which consolidated Florida’s early learning services into one integrated program.
The Burton CDC is accredited by Wesley House Family Services for financial assistance in meeting tuition and student fees. Eligibility for assistance is based on a number of factors, including household income and number of family members.    Early Learning Coalition
